We specialise in making sure that the transaction takes place as smoothly as possible, both before, during and after the transaction. In the early phases it is all about preparation and planning - identifying all the things that will arise and preparing for them. For example by negotiating transition services, preparing IT system changes or securing essential records to name just a few. The transaction itself should take place smoothly with the minimum of business interruption. Many divestments will have a tail of issues that need resolving after completion. However, good preparation will ensure minimum value leakage and contentious argument during this phase.
