Our client, a UK company, is a leading provider of services to the UK public sector. They were anxious to break into overseas markets.
PHS Consulting were retained to carry out strategic research to identify target countries. Studies were undertaken based on comparative international statistics and economic data to formulate a long-list of candidate countries. More detailed individual country studies were undertaken to reduce this based on government policy, expenditure levels and the role of the private sector to reduce this to those that were of the greatest attraction. Overseas links were cultivated leading to an invitation to tender.
